(2790) Overfall weir type water seal, or Priming weir type water seal
A water seal formed by the mingling of two overflowing opposite nappes in the duct near the crest of the body wall (dam). A small receptacle to admit water from the reservoir for the above purpose is located opposite the crest (illustrated).
